Two Time Loser: Today Could be the Day That Your Vote Will Get Paul Ryan Out of Politics

No matter who wins the Presidential election, we still have a dysfunctional Congress which hinders America’s path to moving forward. Our country has been besieged by odious politicians who disregard science, while highlighting their own religiosity. A wave of Tea Party elected officials have hampered any betterment to our economy. And then, when the economy flails, it’s always ‘Obama’s fault.’ One of those politicians is Paul Ryan. We have this day, to hopefully make Ryan a two-time loser all in 24 beautiful hours.

It’s not just Ryan. Karl Rove, the Koch brothers and Grover Norquist have been the puppet masters, all of which deny Climate Change, want privatized education and prisons, refuse to raise taxes on the rich while raising them on the middle class is somehow  justifiable.  Congress members are redefining rape, some of whom will not even say the word, ‘vagina’ while speaking of this important issue. Medicare is at risk. Social Security would be tossed out in a New York minute. Obamacare would be repealed while leaving us at the mercy of Insurance companies.

But to be sure, Mitt Romney chose as his Vice Presidential pick, one of the most divisive members of Congress, so much so, that during the debate Ryan asked to not be called, “Congressman” most likely because of the connotation with our do-nothing House, of which he is one of the worst offenders.

Paul Ryan’s continuous attacks on women’s rights is only one factor. The other brings light to Ryan’s dangerous mentality. Ryan met covertly behind closed doors with leaders of the Republican Party while our newly minted President was being inaugurated. In that meeting, the group swore an oath of obstruction to anything the President tries to accomplish, good or bad. This self-serving oath, took place simply to get back in power even if it meant our economy would suffer. And it did.

I’ll list just a few more, but you already know who they are:

Michele Bachmann

Allen West

Steve King

Joe Walsh

Frank Guinta

Paul Ryan

Be prepared for more controversy. The Donald Trump-birther types will be crawling out of the woodwork to keep this country from succeeding. I’m counting on an Obama reelection, but even if that pans out, he is just one man. We have a lot of stake and we genuinely care about our country, enough so that we can clean out the House.

It’s time to move forward. I’d prefer we go Icelandic on the Governor Rick Scotts in politics, but until that time, vote them out.

New rule:  Any politician that signed Grover Norquist’s pledges, should be voted out. We were robbed of the alternative of being bipartisan when that occurred, and we dearly need less division. Of those signatures, are the Speaker of the House John Boehner, and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have also signed it.

Let’s get the crazies out of politics.
