GOP Congressional Candidate Against Abortion Even in Cases of “The rape thing”

While declaring that there is no War on Women, Republicans continually confirm — sometimes daily — that there is a GOP initiated attack on women’s rights. And another one highlights this problem again today.

A Republican congressional candidate says abortion should not be legal, even when it involves “the rape thing,” according to audio provided Wednesday to The Associated Press.

An activist working on behalf of liberal group FUSE Washington asked questions of Republican hopeful John Koster during a fundraiser Sunday. Koster said he does not oppose abortion when the life of the mother is in danger but then explains he would oppose it when it involves rape or incest.”

It gets even more mind boggling when delving into Koster’s reasoning, or lack thereof. Koster knew a woman — which we cannot confirm obviously — that fared well after having her rapist’s baby. You see, it’s cool. Just deal with it, like  the unknown woman did — even though another woman may not be better off financially than others, this type of reasoning is the status quo with Republicans.

AP: Koster twice uses the phrase “the rape thing” when describing his views, first saying that he knows a woman who was raped and gave up the child for adoption without any regrets.

“But on the rape thing, it’s like, how does putting more violence onto a woman’s body and taking the life of an innocent child that’s a consequence of this crime, how does that make it better?” Koster said in the exchange.”

Again, it’s all cool because he knew a woman once, from some area that had no regrets. Ladies, you’ll be fine. There is no War on Women — just have your rapist’s baby and life will be wonderful. That soul destroying act which Republicans keep attempting to redefine, takes a lifetime to accept, and thusly empower oneself again. The pro-zygote party again, does not comprehend the female gender — our bodies, and certainly not our minds.

If rape is such a touchy subject for this GOPer, then imagine how a victim of rape feels.

FreakOutNation sends a big Fuck you to John Koster.
