Greta Van Susteren, in a mind-boggling moment said, “Women have heard so much worse.”

“I think someone women may think time’s up,” Van Susteren said, noting that, right or wrong, they may feel Obama’s had his chance for four years.
Wasserman Schultz pointed to Romney’s stance on the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which his campaign has not embraced. She then went on to note that Romney “referred to women as binders and resumes.”
Immediately, Van Susteren interjected. “Women have heard so much worse,” she said. “It’s insulting to women. Women care about jobs.” At that point, the panel turned into lots of disagreeing, overlapping chatter.
Back to the point about equal pay, Wasserman Schultz said there are real numbers behind the argument. “I’m with you on that,” Van Susteren replied. “It was the binders comment. The binders comment was silly.”
We have heard worse, from Republicans. Rush Limbaugh, the GOP mouthpiece, deemed Sandra Fluke to be a ‘slut’ while Fox News dismissed it as acceptable. Sarah Palin, who has laughingly (hysterically) referred to herself as a ‘frontier feminist’ defended Limbaugh’s misogynistic remarks.
But, even with the Republican Party defending offensive remarks toward the female gender, never has a Republican nominee insulted women during a debate, with such disregard — and notably, after he would not discuss the Lily Ledbetter Act.
Greta, get back in your Binder girl. Apparently, you feel more comfortable in the previous century.
